Mate-Shed is our HQ for getting stuff done!
Mate-Shed is where we hang out, work on boats, have a yarn, and just get involved in something real without any pressure. You don’t need to be an expert. If you can hold a broom or turn a spanner, you’re good. Honestly, it’s just a place where people show up, connect, and help out. Simple as that.
Our Projects
We rescue all kinds of boats and breathe new life into them! Some come to us as generous donations, while others we snag at a bargain to fix up and sell, keeping our charity afloat. We’re even teaming up with Club Marine to save their written-off vessels, so many just need a little TLC instead of ending up in scrap yard!
And here’s the big news: we’re in talks with State Government and MSQ about their War on Wrecks program. Instead of spending heaps of cash dragging abandoned boats to landfills, we aim redirect that funding to us! We’ll transform those wreck into something amazing, benefiting everyone and protecting our planet. And guess what?
We’ve also got exciting new projects on horizon!
We just secured three shiny new RHIBs (Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boats), These are high-performance watercraft with a solid, rigid bottom (hull) combined with inflatable tubes along the sides for buoyancy, stability, and shock absorption, making them fast, seaworthy, and popular for military, rescue, and recreational use. Our RIBs boats perfect hulls, we're just waiting for engines, electronics, and a full fit-out.
Once these the RIBs are complete, we’ll sell them and generate solid funds for our charity. It’s a real win-win situation!
